“Ultimately these clauses mean a customer is not able to know how much they will be paying for the length of their contract. We don't think that should be allowed.” As part of our fight against the recent price rises, we've lobbied Ofcom to investigate these increases in mid-contract broadband prices. Ofcom has said: 💬 “Under our rules, companies must set out price rises clearly before customers sign up; they can’t just include them in the small print. We are monitoring this area closely and checking that providers are communicating any price rises in line with our rules.” Ofcom research has found that 2 million households are struggling to afford their broadband costs. At the same time, many broadband companies have turned a blind eye and increased their in-contract prices 😡

Our Engineering Tournament kicked off today! 🙌🏻🎉 Our engineering teams are hard at work, competing at our second Engineering Tournament in a site that’s perfect for the event, lent to us by one of our suppliers. There are challenges for every part of our end-to-end process, with job packs that were prepared by the planners earlier, network build taking place out in the field, and customer build and connection in replica houses that the Policy and Innovation team have built inside the barn.
