With the holidays around the corner, our Canton, MA and Plymouth, MN offices are giving back to children in need through toy drives on behalf of Toys for Tots. The Canton office, which celebrated 10 years of supporting the organization, opened up the drive to their office neighbors this year and collected 400 toys. The Plymouth office also had a very successful drive, collecting 101 toys over the course of only four days.
OneBeacon Financial Services recently held their annual all-team meeting down in Nashville, Tennessee to look at the year ahead, and reflect on their 2019 accomplishments. The two-day meeting included presentations from the specialty and P&C underwriting teams, in addition to hearing from key business partners. It was also a great forum for open discussion around industry trends and opportunities.
Recently, members of International Marine Underwriters, Inland Marine, Specialty Property and Technology volunteered at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, an organization providing nutritious food to those in need in the San Francisco and Marin, CA communities. The OneBeacon team, dressed in their OneBeacon Charitable Trust tee-shirts, boxed up a total of 31,500 pounds of fresh corn. That’s a full truck load of produce that will be given to local families in need this season.
For the last several years, International Marine Underwriters has recognized their top-performing region with its annual prize the Flagship Award. IMU evaluates the prior year’s profitability, growth and service to determine the year’s winner. This year, we are pleased to announce that IMU’s North Pacific region has received the coveted award. Congratulations to the North Pacific team on their hard work and dedication!
Recently, members of OneBeacon’s Denver, CO office volunteered with Project C.U.R.E., an organization that delivers donated medical supplies and equipment to hospitals and clinics across the globe. The OneBeacon team gathered at Project C.U.R.E.’s Denver, CO facility and helped sort donated medical supplies from local area hospitals. The supplies were then packed and sent to the Dominican Republic for distribution.
Earlier this week, OneBeacon Entertainment, Financial Institutions, Management Liability and Technology attended and sponsored the annual PLUS Conference held in National Harbor, Maryland. It was a great forum to connect with colleagues and develop new relationships, while keeping up with the latest trends and news in the industry. Additionally, the group hosted a cocktail hour where they caught up with their producer partners, while enjoying appetizers and cocktails at the Pienza Marketplace.
Earlier this week, OneBeacon Inland Marine got together for their second annual all-team meeting in Kansas City, MO to look at the year ahead, and reflect on their 2019 accomplishments so far. The two-day meeting included presentations from each of the regional underwriting teams, as well as hearing from key business partners and participating in group discussions/exercises to discuss industry trends. And to wrap up the conference, the team showed off their gaming skills at an 80’s retro arcade!
