Earlier this month our East Asian Network gathered for their annual retreat. Over the two-day event, our colleagues attended #professionaldevelopment workshops and leadership panels and bonded through shared experiences such as dinners, hiking, and fun cultural activities. Earlier this year, we celebrated #BlackHistoryMonth with the theme of “Empowerment: uplifting Black excellence to develop and flourish.” We kicked off February with The Culture Digest, a weekly cultural column, and a Black culture trivia night. We also had the pleasure of attending a speaker series with distinguished guests such as Judith Batty, a BHM Book Club discussing The Light We Carry, a celebration of music, and office museum visits. Kearney hosted our annual PROUD Accelerator in the Kearney PERLab and Chicago office headquarters. This two-day event allows LGBTQ+ students to practice casing and network with our #consultants as they prepare for the upcoming interviews. Thank you to everyone who attended!
We are happy to share that our Partner Anna Kraft has been recognized as a Seramount 2022 Working Parent of the Year! As a way to recognize the significance of #Juneteenth, each U.S. office held a paint-along event this week to create Afrocentric art and celebrate Black culture! Juneteenth has become an opportunity to commemorate freedom, and we look to further our commitment to emphasizing and advocating for education and awareness.
How can #women facilitate networking and relationship building? Recently our Women’s Network members within the Strategic Operations and Performance practice met for a breakfast workshop to discuss just that. Before meeting they listened to an episode from the Harvard Business Review’s podcast “Women At Work”. Together, they had an energetic and impactful conversation on women and visibility in the #workplace.
May is used to promote awareness of #MentalHealth in many locations around the globe. This month is an invaluable opportunity for people to talk about all aspects of our mental well-being.
