Mask-making for COVID-19 / Fabrication de masques pour lutter contre la COVID-19 This National Volunteer Week, Morneau Shepell wants to shine the spotlight on the fantastic volunteer work employees have been doing during the COVID-19 crisis. Today’s spotlight focuses on James van Wyck from the legal department in Toronto. Toronto’s Michael Garron Hospital recently challenged those in Toronto’s east end to collectively sew 1,000 face masks per week, a goal James and his wife, Alex, have working hard to help achieve. “When we saw that Michael Garron Hospital put out a call to the community to sew face masks, we thought that it was a great way that we could use our time to do something productive while feeling like we were contributing as best we could while still following distancing guidelines,” said James. James, thanks for your volunteer work in your community, and for asking us to share these instructionshttps://www.mghf.ca/mgh1000masks will open in a new tab. Please feel free to share your own too with the tag line ‘OneBillionLives’.
