Alan joined Lonza in 2006, and works as a Process Engineer at our site in Greenwood, US. "I started my career at Lonza as a Process Assistant in Puebla, Mexico, manufacturing Capsugel® Vcaps® Plus, our plant-based polymer capsules. I was promoted through a number of roles to become Process Head in 2013. We are constantly improving and innovating our manufacturing equipment and processes, which I find very interesting and exciting. I particularly enjoy the opportunity to learn new methods and share information with my colleagues from other CHI sites around the world. Melissa joined Lonza in 2005, and works as a Midscale Manufacturing Manager at our site in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. "Lonza is unique because every day is different. I love working for a contract manufacturer because we constantly work on new products, innovations, and technology. For example, in the suite I work in, we are the first in the network to use N-1 Perfusion at 2K bioreactor stage. Lonza is always working at the cutting edge of the industry. What makes Lonza special is the people. Helping my team to develop and watching them learn and grow is very rewarding, and doing so while working for a company that makes products that improve the lives of our customers’ patients makes it even more fulfilling."
