Mario Cafaro, CIO of the Year Finalist 2023 The Pittsburgh Technology Council’s CIO of the Year is an opportunity to recognize and honor the accomplishments of Southwestern PA’s most hardworking IT leaders and up-and-coming IT stars. Mario Cafaro has been nominated in the Gigabyte Category! Congratulations Mario, and best of luck to you! Mario has been with MSA for nearly 24 years, starting in 1999 as an Application Help Desk team member and progressing through the ranks to his current role as the SVP, Information Technology Systems & Services (ITSS) division. Mario earned a BS in Accounting and his Masters in Information Systems Management from Duquesne University.
Management Science Associates announces move to a new office space in the East End of Pittsburgh, Bakery Square. Management Science will occupy the seventh floor of Bakery Office Three located at 6501 Living Place, the newest office building at Bakery Square. In making the move announcement MSA President, Joe Reddy said “Bakery Three complements MSA’s adaptive approach to flexible workplaces to provide clients with the highest quality of service. Our new employee focused office design and remote work flexibility is one of many efforts aimed at attracting new employees as well as further enhancing MSA’s already excellent employee retention. Mario has been with MSA for nearly 23 years, starting in 1999 as an Application Help Desk team member and progressing through the ranks to his current role as SVP, Information Technology Systems & Services (ITSS). The ITSS division provides the technology backbone for the other divisions of MSA, including technologists in the fields of Data Analytics, Health Sciences, Metals & Advanced Manufacturing, Media and Gaming. Mario leads a team of 60 IT professionals including specialists in networking, software development, virtualization, public and private clouds, cyber security, SAN storage, hardware, data center infrastructure, and service desk.

In making the announcement, Dr. Kuehn said: “Joe has extensive experience and provided positive leadership within MSA for over 30 years! His being named President will keep MSA and clients focused on analytics and continue to have MSA be known as the leaders all research firms now claim being leaders in analytics due to having analytic software. One such leader today held a webinar complaining about their clients not knowing how to use their capabilities!
