  • Each August community service is a staple activity for our Emerging Professionals Employee Resource Group. And August 2020 will be no different. As the pandemic continues to leave many non-profit organizations challenged with their normal operations and funding, the Emerging Professionals ERG has stepped up to assist community partners in need by mobilizing their 500+ members to volunteer virtually throughout the month.

  • Disability inclusion drives innovation. McKesson values all talent and we're proud to have earned a top score on the 2020 Disability Equality Index.

  • Jon, an Army veteran and member of our McKesson Military Resource Group, normally works from our Richmond, VA office. When Virginia declared a state of emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jon and many others from the Virginia Defense Force were activated to support the governor and the public with data. Jon maintains and updates test capacity data and then reports all COVID-19 test-related activities across the state. We thank him for the contributions he brings to our company and to his community.

  • Allies are a critical part of Pride, and especially needed when we’re isolated. Todd, a member of our LGBTQ+ employee resource group, OPEN, says, “Allyship gives the LGBTQ+ community an additional layer of support and affirmation that we are not alone.”

  • Celebrations are only one aspect of Pride Month. As an ongoing commitment to the needs of our LGBTQ+ colleagues, we continue to develop an equal workplace for all. In recent years, we’ve expanded LGBTQ+ benefits like offering transgender-inclusive assistance to employees and coverage for HIV prevention medication and continue to grow and invest in our employee resource group, OPEN, pictured here at last year’s Pride parade in Dallas.

  • June is Pride Month, a time to remember its roots in the Stonewall Riots of 1969 and fight against discrimination for the LGBTQ+ community. Pride is a way of life. Pride means standing together, while apart, and taking action in the face of discrimination in all its forms. We’re proud to come together in celebration of LGBTQ+ advocacy, allyship and increased visibility of the LGBTQ+ community. In support, we join our LGBTQ+ employee resource group, OPEN, and others worldwide as we celebrate what makes us unique.

  • A Message from McKesson CEO Brian Tyler. I’ve watched the recent events with heartbreak and outrage, deeply saddened by the persistent existence of racism in our society and the impact it continues to have on the Black and other POC communities. As CEO, I recognize I am in a position of privilege, and with that privilege comes a great responsibility. Our collective heartbreak and outrage are not enough. If we are going to see the meaningful change we seek, we must commit to taking action - not just when an incident happens, but every moment and every day. Today, our company came together to have an open and candid discussion about how we can all live out our shared commitment to inclusion. We will gather, we will listen, and we will support each other. We talk a lot internally about being together, let’s be together now in this moment and in our future.

  • Our OWN IT employee resource group led #TeamMcKesson in celebrating #InternationalWomensDay by organizing an incredible keynote event featuring Molly Fletcher. Hailed as the "female Jerry Maguire" by CNN, Molly was the only female sports agent in the business for nearly two decades. Among the many lessons she shared, Molly encouraged us to embrace the discomfort of change, leveraging those opportunities to grow and build a better version of ourselves.
