Why You Should Never Give Up One of my favorite quotes from the great Winston Churchill ends with the words, “Never yield to force; never yield to the overwhelming might of the enemy.” This quote, describes James Weidner…and you’ll see exactly why. In 2007, James lost his job as a Database Analyst. He had been doing that position for almost 15 years, working mostly on federal contracts. He spent the next few years working jobs he really didn’t like, but did because he had a family to provide for. He refused to give up. He heard the MyComputerCareer radio commercials every day and thought about making the call, but didn’t. He made every effort to get back into a Database Analyst job, with no luck. He finally made the call for an evaluation and enrolled thinking it would be his final shot at an I.T. career. He knew it wouldn’t be easy…but he refused to give up. Click to read more of this story!

Frustrated in Your Job Search? Understanding the process and applying specific methods is directly related to your success. In the day and age of HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems), ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), Assessment Tests, and Personality Tests, searching and applying for jobs can be time consuming and frustrating. After over a decade in the industry and watching individuals struggle with these processes, it dawned on me that my purpose in life was to help them succeed within all the new technology. It used to be that you could send out 100 applications with the click of a button. From these efforts, you could usually net 2 or 3 interviews. However, things have changed and so should our methods. 5 Ways to Calm Pre-Interview Nerves Down! “I’m so nervous’. It’s the one line I’ve heard from every student that I’ve had the chance to talk to or sit with before they had an interview. The problem is, coaxing that nervousness out of them is hard to do since the worst case scenario of the interview going horribly wrong is ingrained in their heads. So, how can you calm those jitters down? Read these five different ways that you can calm your interview jitters down. 1. Visualize success. Rather than see yourself bombing the interview before it even starts; try visualizing yourself arriving confident, conducting yourself confidently, nailing all the questions confidently, and leaving confidently. All that confidence will do you wonders and you’ll confidently achieve every bit! Click here for the next 4 ways to calm your interview jitters!

US Army Veteran and I.T. Professional LUCKNER PETITHOMME: MYCOMPUTERCAREER DALLAS STUDENT “Before attending classes at MyComputerCareer, I was serving in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant for 4 years. I heard about MyComputerCareer while conducting my research on technical certification schools. I heard the commercials on the radio several times, however, I thought the program was too good to be true. After visiting other schools and becoming disappointed with their programs and benefits, I contacted MyComputerCareer. I completed the Free Career Evaluation and less than one hour later, I was telephoned and invited to visit the Dallas Campus.” Click here to read more of Luckner's story!
