After another exciting race season, NASCAR employees across the country are rolling up their sleeves to serve the needs of local community organizations on NASCAR IMPACT Day. NASCAR’s first-ever IMPACT Day is a reflection of our commitment to volunteerism and strengthening the communities where we live, work and race. In total, group service projects led by our employees are benefitting more than 30 charities nationwide. #NASCARIMPACTDAY
The 2nd Annual HBCU Careers in Sports Combine – hosted by the Jacksonville Jaguars – was an excellent opportunity for NASCAR to show its support. The event was designed to provide a platform for students and recent graduates from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) who are passionate about pursuing a career in sports. The event offered the chance to connect with industry-leading professionals from NASCAR, PGA TOUR, Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), Fanatics, and The Black Sport Business Academy. The event featured numerous panel discussions, allowing attendees to gain insights and expertise from some of the sports industry's most exceptional leaders. NASCAR’s team members Eric Ryan, Alesia Dailey, and Tyrese Manigault shared their thoughts on the industry during panel discussions. NASCAR's Inside Sales team, represented by Kylie Devlin and Zachary Brown, also interviewed attendees to learn more about their experiences and aspirations. October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time where people and organizations unite to increase breast cancer awareness, support those who have been impacted by the disease, and raise funds for research. NASCAR is an advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness, utilizing its platform to promote awareness during races, and encouraging employees and fans to get involved. Today, NASCAR employees showed their support by donning pink attire, a simple yet powerful gesture that honors those affected by breast cancer and demonstrates the organization's unwavering commitment to the cause. #BreastCancerAwareness
NASCAR is proud to celebrate its Senior Manager of Social Content, Alejandro Alvarez, for his inclusion in the esteemed Hashtag Sports 2023 Creators of Color Cohort. This initiative aims to empower sports entertainment creatives and content creators between the ages of 21-33 who identify as Black, Latinx, Asian, and People of Color. Alejandro and 29 other honorees were selected based on merit and qualification across nine creative specialties by The Engagement Academy of Sports Entertainment. Alejandro's exceptional photography skills earned him this well-deserved recognition.
