SCS Engineers’ Brittney Odom is the New Southeast Environmental Services Director January 25, 2021 SCS Engineers announces Brittney Odom’s promotion to the Southeast region’s Environmental Services Director. Odom will continue expanding and integrating SCS’s environmental engineering and consulting operations to provide more streamlined and efficient services in her new role. She will lead environmental operations in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Georgia, and the Caribbean. As with all SCS leaders, she continues serving her clients in Boca Raton in her expanded role.
SCS Engineers Expands Comprehensive Landfill Services in Georgia January 27, 2021 AUGUSTA, GA – SCS Engineers now provides the Augusta Environmental Services Department with engineering, environmental and testing, and Construction Management & Quality Assurance Services at the Deans Bridge Road Landfill, in Blythe, Georgia. The Augusta Department of Environmental Services is responsible for the landfill facilities, solid waste management planning for Augusta, and all residential solid waste collections. Additionally, the Department is responsible for the Augusta Brownfield program and other environmental compliance issues. The facility operates under the State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division as a Subtitle D Landfill, accepting up to 1,500 tons per day of waste. Active and closed sections of the landfill comprise approximately 1,177 acres of property. Some additional acreage contains ancillary facilities such as office and maintenance buildings, customer drop off area, sediment ponds, roads, and leachate holding facilities.
SCS Promotes Vidhya Viswanathan, PE, to Southwest Director of Engineering January 1, 2021 Srividhya Viswanathan, Southwest Director of Engineering at SCS, is a 2019 Waste360 40 Under 40 award winner. Long Beach CA –SCS Engineers announces Vidhya Viswanathan’s promotion to the Southwest region’s Director of Engineering. Viswanathan will continue consolidating and integrating our engineering operations to provide more streamlined and efficient services in her new role. She will lead the solid waste engineering operations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and New Mexico.
SCS Engineers Welcomes Maura Dougherty to Our Solid Waste Engineering Practice January 5, 2021 Maura Dougherty is joining SCS’s Southwest Business Unit as a Senior Project Manager in the solid waste engineering practice. Dougherty will execute engineering design, operations support, and construction quality assurance projects. She is responsible for project management, client service, business development, technical leadership, and overseeing professional staff teams. Dougherty reports to Vice President and Southwest Business Unit Director of Engineering, Vidhya Viswanathan, P.E., from SCS’s Pleasanton office.

Sandra Ripplinger Promoted to Director of Health and Safety for SCS Engineers November 10, 2020 Sandra Ripplinger, Board Certified Industrial Hygienist, and Safety Professional now the SCS Engineers Director of IHS. Long Beach, CA− SCS Engineers announces the promotion of Sandra Ripplinger to Director of Health & Safety. In her expanded role, Ms. Ripplinger will oversee all industrial health and safety guidance and training for the SCS employee-owners, reporting to the Board of Directors and Chief Financial Officer Curtis Jang. Ms. Ripplinger is a Board Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Safety Professional (CSP) with three decades of experience providing occupational and environmental health and safety services. She is currently also a Project Director with SCS’s Environmental Health Services Practice in Henderson, Nevada.
Wishing all Veterans a Safe and Happy Veteran’s Day November 11, 2020 Meet Brian Eigenberger of our Charlotte, NC office. Brian is an Associate Scientist and an Air Force Veteran recently joining the SCS Engineers team in August! Brian’s love for the outdoors sparked his interest in geology and environmental services, leading to his Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of North Carolina in May 2019. Brian joined the United States Air Force in September 2010, working as a maintenance scheduler for 23 F-15 fighter jets. His responsibilities were to track jet maintenance, reporting his findings to the production superintendent managing the aircraft unit, then creating maintenance schedules for each aircraft while tracking its flying hours. The work requires meticulous record-keeping and knowledge of the aircraft itself.
