"Being a minority in tech can feel isolating, but employee-led Inclusion Networks can make a huge difference," says SentinelOne's Dale Lam, EMEA North Commercial Sales Manager. Dale's choice to join SentinelOne was greatly influenced by our commitment to core values like Trust, Accountability, Relentlessness, Ingenuity, and Community, all of which, he says, align with his own values. In his role here, the Black Inclusion Network has been crucial to creating a platform for sharing experiences and celebrating unique backgrounds. Dale, who is committed to increasing the number of Black professionals in cybersecurity, shares his guidance: “Be humble and understand that others have gone through extremely difficult journeys to give you the ability and chance to carry the torch they have passed on. It’s on you and others like yourself to keep trailblazing and pass the torch forward.”
💜 "Mentoring young Black professionals, I stress the importance of persistence and networking," says SentinelOne's Brooke Berens. "Every small step forward marks progress for all." Starting in Sales at SentinelOne, Brooke quickly rose to the role of Senior Digital Customer Success Manager, driven by a passion for customer relations. Brooke joined SentinelOne inspired by the culture, diversity, leadership and collective work ethic. Actively referring to others, Brooke values SentinelOne’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, exemplified by the BLK Inclusion Network. As a mentor to young Black professionals, she emphasizes perseverance and networking. Brooke’s journey is a tribute to their mother's legacy and an inspiration for future generations. “My mom was the most intelligent woman I have ever known with a beautiful warrior spirit. She fought so hard —on an exhausting daily basis for me to move forward and make a difference—in one generation. I think if she could see what I do today, she would be so proud.”
