This week members of the Smiths team across the globe gathered to celebrate Smiths Day, an annual celebration of our people and culture across the whole of Smiths. The day saw virtual and Covid-safe in-person gatherings including award ceremonies, quizzes, selfie competitions, and much more. Thanks to all our people for making the day such a success!

The team at Smiths Detection developed BioFlash to detect airborne COVID-19 particles, enhancing protection against the virus - and we're proud to announce that we're now installing it at our HQ in London, with a view to rolling it out at further Smiths sites in the near future.
We’re proud to announce 'Inspire to Succeed', a new Inclusion@Smiths initiative that will support our Respect, Diversity and Inclusion Programme. Together, the team will focus on topics including women and the LGBT+ community, and will be working with our colleagues at John Crane and Smiths Medical to build on the success of their Professional Women's Network and Women's Leadership Network, as well as partnering with Smiths' LGBT+/Stonewall initiative.
We’re proud to say that the #VentilatorChallengeUK won this year's Special Award for Design Engineering at the British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEAs).
