We’re proud to share exciting recognition that’s helping us build strong momentum this year at Terakeet. For the ninth consecutive year, we have earned Great Place To Work® Certification™! This is an achievement made even more meaningful because it’s based entirely on the honest feedback and daily experiences of our employees. We’re also honored to have been named one of Built In’s Best Remote Places to Work. This annual award recognizes companies with standout compensation, benefits, and cultural programs, highlighting organizations that create exceptional experiences for their teams—wherever they work. In addition, Terakeet was named a finalist in the Digiday WorkLife Awards for Most Innovative Culture, recognizing our continued focus on building an environment where creativity and forward-thinking ideas thrive. As a remote-first organization operating at the forefront of reputation management, cultivating a workplace where innovators can do their best work is core to who we are. We’re grateful for our team’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture rooted in transparency, autonomy, meaningful connection, and professional growth, and, even more importantly, for the people who make Terakeet a great place to work every day.
Who says you can’t impact your organization if you work remotely? We recently concluded our annual Marc Murray Award selection process. In this employee-decided vote, the team chose to honor Ashley “AT” Timms as the 2023 Marc Murray Award recipient. Check out our blog post about AT, the award, and the other nominees!

Remote work and flexibility has been an integral part of Terakeet’s workplace offering for years. This foundation helped us seamlessly move remote throughout 2020, and expand our benefits to achieve a largely remote workforce today. Employees who want to work from home are able to, but we also have office space at our headquarters open for voluntary use. Additionally, Terakeet employees can use flexible schedules to work during their most productive hours. We’ve long recognized that the comfort and efficiency of the work environment is important to everyone. So, all employees are offered the same technology package no matter where they’re located, in addition to a home office stipend. To ensure that our collaborative culture thrives despite our fully remote structure, we maintain a direct line between employees and executives through regular company-wide meetings, team-building events, and strategic sessions. Terakeet will continue to build and support the infrastructure that lets us offer unique benefits and remain an exceptional place to work, no matter where our teams call home.
On Terakeet's COVID response, one employee said: “I am dating a medical student who recently graduated. When match day came and we learned he would be starting his program in another city, I had a decision to make. Do I move with him and find a new job or stay in Syracuse at Terakeet? Thankfully, those weren’t my only options. Thanks to Terakeet, I was able to move with my partner and keep my job. Within a week HR gave me permission to work remotely. Throughout COVID, Terakeet has proven how much they care for their employees. I lead a large team and was concerned about staying connected with them as a remote employee. Terakeet has provided tools to stay in constant communication. In fact, it’s fair to say I feel more in touch with my team than ever before. Terakeet truly cares about its people and they prove it every day. Because of this company, I didn’t have to choose between starting a more family-oriented life with my partner or keeping my career.“
On Terakeet's COVID response, one employee said: "Working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic has had an adverse effect on my productivity and mental health. I live in a small apartment that lacks space for a dedicated work area, free of distractions. After a one-on-one meeting with one of our talent executives, I noticed another event was scheduled with a member of HR. During the meeting, I was able to be open and honest about my struggles and had no qualms about opening up to such an empathic and caring individual. After revealing that I was often working from my bedroom without access to a desk, she went the extra mile and told me she wanted to buy me a desk to help ease the difficulties of remote work. I am grateful she was so available and willing to help meet my needs. I am also grateful to Terakeet for placing people who really care about their employees in such important positions. While I could have never predicted just how long the effects of COVID-19 would last, working for a company that truly cares about their people has made an impact that I will always remember."
Terakeet acted early to send employees home as COVID-19 entered Onondaga County. Employee well-being (including mental health) was our primary concern, as many began working fully remote for the first time in their careers. The IT and HR teams had been preparing for a distributed workforce in recent years, so we were fortunate to have a smooth transition on short notice. Executive leadership continues to hold honest, thorough updates in weekly company-wide meetings outlining how COVID-19 is impacting or could impact our business and how we will respond. The HR team is hard at work making resources available through Employee Assistance Programs and team-sourced lists for emotional support and mental wellness. They have also contacted each employee individually to make sure their personal and professional needs are met.
Terakeet's culture is built upon the unique passions and special interests of our employees. This starts at the top, with our Co-Founder Pat Danial's love of the arts.
