Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. Overdose touches people and communities in many ways. "The theme for 2023, is “Recognizing those people who go unseen,” we honor the people whose lives have been altered by overdose. They are the family and friends grieving the loss of a loved one; workers in healthcare and support services extending strength and compassion; or spontaneous first responders who selflessly assume the role of a lifesaver." As we always say at Wellpath #WeSeeYou For more ways to contribute to this campaign visit https://bit.ly/3SDTb6T
Congratulations on one year of service to the Recovery Solutions Early Access and Stabilization Services (EASS) program! EASS began services in Kings County, CA on July 18, 2022, and just one year later our amazing team has served 1,131 patients, and we are providing EASS services in 32 counties throughout California, eliminating the backlog in all 32 counties as we are enrolling patients in real time. The Early Access and Stabilization Services (EASS) program is designed to provide restorative justice services to individuals who are deemed Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST) within one week of being deemed IST rather than having to wait for months or even a year to receive the services they need. In this program, these individuals can move on with their court cases and lives at a faster pace and with the help they need. While restoration is not the primary objective of EASS, we are restoring around 27% of patients enrolled. EASS will continue to activate programs throughout the state for the remainder of the year. Our nursing, mental health, and psychiatry team members are proud to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our IST patients in the EASS program.
Wellpath wishes everyone a safe, healthy and happy 4th of July! #wearewellpath
