Wellpath Becomes the First Healthcare Company Awarded Full NCQA Accreditation for Correctional Healthcare Programs. In 2002 Wellpath, became the first healthcare company awarded full Accreditation by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for Population Health Program Management in correctional settings. The NCQA Population Health Program Accreditation evaluates organizations’ programs against industry best practices for population health management. Wellpath has received full NCQA Population Health Program Accreditation for the following programs: Diabetes, Hepatitis C, Hypertension, HIV and Serious Mental Illness in Female Patients. These programs have received accreditation for three years, the maximum allowable length. Wellpath joins leading healthcare organizations like Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic in achieving NCQA accreditation.
