Our head of money policy, Paddy Greene, spoke to MP's today about the Financial Services & Markets Bill, which will increase consumers’ access to cash and support victims of bank transfer scams. A culmination of two successful campaigns Which? has led. Whilst we welcome these important reforms, it is essential that the new laws will explicitly protect “free” access to cash services for consumers. #APPScams #ProtectCash
Our latest research finds millions of people skipping meals or struggling to put healthy meals on the table. We’re calling on supermarkets to do more to help their customers with clearer pricing, more promotions for customers on low incomes and greater availability of affordable ranges, particularly where people need them most. For more on our research, see link in comments.
Last week, we hosted another event in our ‘Let’s Talk’ series – this time about neurodiversity (a term used to describe people whose brains process information differently). Hosted by Jenny Mclaughlin, our neurodiversity network chair at Which?, we were joined by panellists Dr Chris Arnold, Ruth-Ellen Danquah and Samantha Hiew, PhD. In this event, we explored some of the challenges faced by neurodivergent people in a world designed with the neurotypical in mind, as well as the benefits of neurodiverse thinking in the workplace and the world at large. Thank you to all the panellists who joined our Let’s Talk event. #DiversityAndInclusion #InclusiveWorkplace #Neurodiversity
This month, we’re celebrating Black History Month - an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the often untold history, contributions and culture of black people to the UK and around the world. We spoke to colleagues and members of our ‘Mosaic Network’, which supports ethnic minorities at Which?, to find out more about what Black History Month means to them.
