As the days shorten and we enter a second lockdown, it's even more important to focus on our colleagues' mental health and wellbeing. During International Stress Awareness Week and beyond, we're hosting a number of virtual workshops to help our colleagues cope with the challenges they face working remotely and spending longer indoors.
Spending time with our colleagues is really important to us at Which?. With all our teams working remotely, we recently gave them the opportunity to connect with each other and disconnect from work. Like many across the nation, we're all pretty quizzed-out, so our Member and Supporter Engagement team decided on a virtual Ready Steady Cook.
Last month, to celebrate Black History Month, we hosted a Let's Talk internal event. The theme was Black history, and the panel shared updates on current projects and fielded questions ranging from their thoughts on representation of Black history in the curriculum to advice for parents wanting to teach their children more about the subject. #blackhistorymonth
Spending time with our colleagues is really important to us at Which? and, with all our team members working remotely at the moment, we wanted to give our teams the opportunity to connect with each other and disconnect from work. So a couple of weeks ago we took the phones off the hook and vetoed all meetings so that our teams could do just that.
When lockdown started in March Which? moved 70 colleagues from our Members Service Centre in Cardiff to remote working. Clayton Meyer, Lead Operations Manager said “This was a mammoth task for us and our IT teams. Our first priority was to ensure our members could still contact us and ensuring our colleagues were not under pressure.”
