XPO will take to the road in July for the 42nd year as the official transport partner of the Tour de France. When the winner of the legendary cycling competition is declared in Paris, an XPO team of 58 drivers will have transported more than 570 tons of goods over 3,328 kilometers in 42 trucks — and 18 of those trucks will be fueled by biodegradable hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). XPO’s trucks will emit up to 85% less CO2 than diesel. A specially trained XPO team is responsible for the timely transport of equipment, safety barriers and other goods across the 21 stages of the race. XPO and the Tour de France share a strong commitment to safety and sustainability, highlighted by rigorous preparation in eco-driving techniques and Tour safety protocols.
Our drivers make us proud every day, but a special shoutout is in order for all those who participated in the Iowa Truck Driving Championship June 9 and 10. Congratulations to: Rick - 1st Place Straight Truck Steve - 1st Place Twins David - 2nd Place 4 Axle

Two of XPO’s business leaders have been selected by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine to receive the 2022 SDCE Pros to Know award: Ina Daly and Alyssa Myers. Ina, a professional less-than-truckload (LTL) driver, was the first woman to win the National Truck Driving Championship and serves as a trainer for XPO’s driver schools. She was honored by XPO in 2021 for surpassing three million accident-free miles. Alyssa, vice president, technology, leads the team driving the rapid adoption of the XPO Connect digital brokerage platform. Shippers and carriers meet digitally on XPO Connect in real time to buy and sell capacity efficiently through automation. SDCE describes the 2022 Pros to Know as outstanding leaders who are reinventing what it means to be a supply chain professional.
XPO is proud to announce that three of our leaders have been named Top Women to Watch in Transportation by the Women In Trucking Association: Tamar Jimenez, Less-Than-Truckload Service Center Manager, Emily Phillips, Vice President, Advanced Solutions and Stacey Woods, Senior Vice President, Human Resources Operations. The annual Top Women to Watch awards highlight leading role models for gender equality in the traditionally male-oriented transportation industry. In 2019, XPO’s Josephine Berisha became the company’s first recipient of the award.
XPO is expanding our Field Management Trainee Program, with a goal of graduating 100 participants in 2022. The comprehensive curriculum creates career paths for high-potential hourly employees, military veterans and recent college graduates, positioning them for promotion. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are qualified to become LTL freight operations supervisors as the next step toward potential field management roles.
