I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Troy, MI) in Mar 2010
Interview
The first interview was very casual and easy questions.... "What do you do if a member in a group you work with is not pulling his or her weight" "Why do you feel Target is a good fit for you" etc.
I was asked for a second interview, but before the second interview the staff at the nearest Target store took all of the people applying for the position on a ALL store orientation. Discussed the job during the interview and showed us around the store and how it functions.
The Second interview included much more advanced questions. One that really got me was "Describe a time when you were asked to mediate two individuals. How did you mediate them and what was the outcome?"
Be prepared for very very specific questions that you may have to make up an answer for!

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (East Lansing, MI) in Oct 2024
Interview
It was a very quick process. There was a phone call and emails prior to the interview, followed by more communication shortly after. It was a smooth and quick process. I really enjoyed it.

Question 1
They asked about previous leadership experience that I had.
easy - very conversational, one round and discussions with interviewer and recruiter, which was nice and felt at ease during the whole process; did a lot of research ahead of time
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Target
Interview
First I met with someone at a career fair and gave them my resume. It was awhile before I heard anything, but then I got an email to select and interview time with a store director. Shortly after that I got scheduled on a phone call with my recruiter and was extended an offer.
