Pros

Technical people at MicroStrategy are great and smart people. The technology is sophisticated and multi-faceted, making MicroStrategy a great place to learn about technology.

Cons

Management is terrible at all levels, but especially at the highest levels. The business is completely clueless as to where we actually sit in the world, with regard to customer need, as well as in the competitive landscape. Management has zero interest in providing a positive work environment where the employee is truly empowered.

Advice to Senior Management

Stop managing from your yachts and mansions. Get to know the people who keep this company moving from day to day, and when you do it, do it with humilty, respect, and thanks. We need to thank the old guard for their tenure and send them on their way. In exchange, we need thought and management leaders who are interested in getting hands dirty, implementing new innovative ideas, and empowering employees, rather than continuing business as usual for another 15 years.
