MicroStrategy Production Consultant:   (Past Employee - 2007)

Pros

As part of MicroStrategy's professional services team, you have an opportunity to work with some of the company's largest clients helping to address their most challenging technical issues. The bonus structure of the professional services organization rewards the consultants that are able to prove themselves and keep themselves billable. The consultants do a good job of collaborating with each other to help others address problems that they might have already solved or are more familiar with.

Cons

As a consultant, you don't have a whole lot of control over where your next assignment may be. It varies from consultant to consultant, but there is definitely the possibility of having to travel across the country for an extended period of time depending upon where the client is located.

Advice to Senior Management

Continue communicating effectively with the staff.
