Discount on gear is hard to beat, pay scale is good and the benefits are solid. You can sign up for pro deals for lots of other outdoor companies as a perk of being employed with an outdoor brand.
Cons
The work culture favours bro types, and is actively dismissive and toxic toward women. This might vary between locations and is something I’ve noticed.
No job security, extremely (and excessive) high standards, lots of people let go, over 100 people hired for temporary contract, and only 6 had their contracts extended, 2 others got positions outside of the department, however the other positions are also temporary, with no pay increase. No opportunities for advancement, extremely repetitive, and no benefits.
