      Pros

Bealls has a family feel with its employees, who supports each other. The benefits are good, fulltime as well as part time. There's no micro-managing, you're expected to learn and know your job duties and expectations.

      Cons

There's no letting their employees know when there will be or might be cut backs/lay offs, you're just hit with it!

      Pros

Great teamwork and management. Clientele is nice. Pay rate is reasonable.

      Cons

New policy states we don't get a floating holiday anymore, paid holidays for part-timers have been stripped. And right before Memorial Day no less. You'd think they'd at least amend it so that those who reach certain landmarks (3+ years) would be eligible, but no, just remove some benefits from those who are on the frontlines so to speak. What an absolute insult!! They keep micro-managing us but with fewer and fewer upsides. Raises are not determined by peers or management, but rather these inane surveys that some people just press "X" or not at all. So, strangers who don't even know how hard we work are dictating our pay.

      Pros

      - don’t make you clean bathrooms - job isn’t incredibly difficult - holiday hours aren’t horrid

      Cons

      - benefits aren’t too good - low pay

      Low Standards and Expectations

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - Flexible schedule - Talented coworkers - Basic benefits - Depending on the department, enjoyable work. - If you're younger and new to the full-time workforce, this might be a good place to get a first taste of corporate life. Just know that there are other companies with higher standards and better environments.

      Cons

      - Everything is outdated - equipment, ideas, main office design. - Toxic environment - Starting with people in upper management positions. No accountability for unseemly behavior and comments. - Corporate office location - The building is in an industrial, suburban area on the outskirts of Bradenton, with not much nearby. You can drive to places for lunch, but if you've worked in a walkable city, this is not that. - High turnover - constant retraining, largely because of low pay - people get better offers and leave. - Low pay - if you're used to giving 110% and being fairly rewarded for it, this is not the place for you. There are no monetary bonuses, just very small annual pay increases. You're lucky to get a dollar. - General workforce challenges - It seems Bealls struggles to find and retain quality talent, due to the factors above.
