      Pros

Hybrid work model gives me opportunity to collaborate with my team and other departments in person on in-office days, and allows me to to be ultra-productive on days that I work from home with little distraction. Another plus is that all of the Directors/Leads have the best interests of the sales field in mind during decision making. I also like that my department shares in the successes of the sales field.

      Cons

The pay is a constant point of conversation with my team. I would like to see some standards in place as far as what they can expect in dollar amounts/increases based on level of performance. I feel like I am always in a battle when increases come around.

      Pros

Work from home, create your own schedule

      Cons

As a career media sales professional, having successfully worked for some of the largest and well-known media companies in the country, the opportunity to work locally from home was exciting. HOWEVER, the publisher on my magazine was "secretly" re-signing my accounts a few months prior to the end of their contracts. I only discovered this when one of my accounts reached out to me to let me know this was happening. The Publisher would receive 80% by moving the accounts into his name. If they stayed in my name we essentially split the commission. The publisher contacted these business owners saying "you need to work with me for the best deal, not the associate publisher" This left me with no customer base. Management only cares about the bottom line, these actions were seemingly encouraged. The only solution management suggested was that they wanted me to start my own magazine so I wouldn't have to deal with splitting commission or losing my own accounts. There is NO WAY I would stick around and trust them after not backing me. GOOD BYE - I have found a new role elsewhere, my salary has quadrupled and I have full benefits. Sorry BVM, you are broken.
