      Pros

Benefits and the discount, though I never actually used it.

      Cons

Many of the reviews about the benefits, discounts, good teams, and overall things about Blue Nile before Signet are true. However, Signet has nothing to do with the in store day to day experience provided by managers and regionals. Under qualified personnel are awarded management positions without any jewelry and/or operational background (and sometimes interpersonal skills), and are expected to train a team of individuals on such things, increasing the amount of misinformation provided to not only associates, but clients as well. Extremely unprofessional work environment, that constantly meets mistakes with aggression and/or excuses, no work life balance due to under staffing/turn over, unlawful behaviors stemming from HR all the way down to in store interactions, and no real sales benefits overall. There many jeweler brands under Signet, don’t get sucked into this one.

      Pros

I learned a lot during my time working there. Benefits were good.

      Cons

I was told that I exceeded expectations in my reviews but that I was "too new" to be promoted. I felt that my skills were taken advantage of since they wouldn't promote me or give me a raise even though I was holding management level responsibilities.

All good things come to an end I guess

      Pros

Blue Nile was one of the best places to work in my opinion. From the top executives to the bottom and everything in between, we were a tight knit company. We figured things out as a team as any company should. Pay was decent. Benefits were fantastic. Bonus structures and business allowance were also a plus . Remote work meant balance for a lot of us. It was overall a very positive environment

      Cons

Until… the acquisition and the switchover. EVERYTHING changed. The team we had was no longer existent after numerous rounds of layoffs. There was no more room for growth. Our systems changed entirely and even the people above us had no clue how to execute the switchover. I would say poor planning, but I don’t think much planning was involved. We suffered and so did our clients. Our benefits changed as well. The team that took over had a micromanaging “I know it all, so listen to me” style. It was constant email after email after IM every hour of every single day telling us all the things we were doing wrong even tho we were just learning the system they had developed before I was even born. I was sad to leave, but it was time. The environment had grown incredibly toxic.

      Pros

Helping clients with this very important life changing purchase. Coworkers were close.

      Cons

New management rigged sales goals to make bonuses near impossible to achieve. Eroding benefits.
