Pros
Soooo, working for children's is a love/hate thing. They have amazing benefits, the mission to serve these families will keep you going, I have a very good team, I have been professionally supported the whole time I've been here. My direct supervisor is GREAT. You can pay for lunch with your badge (which could be dangerous the way you look at it) There is parking for employees. There are resources available to employees
Cons
If you are hourly you have to use your PTO for holidays that some people aren't even allowed to work if their program is closed, upper level leadership does not care much about you or anyone expect the bottom line, money. The policies are not meant for someone who struggles with any physical or mental health. They are not flexible with time, and they expect you to work even at your own expense. I know that it just hospital culture but it shouldn't be. If you have any chronic health conditions don't come here. You have to pay for parking. Burn out culture is real even though they try to pretend it's not and give you resources you don't have time to do.
