Pros
I have experience working in all types of industries - from cool, hip tech startups, to very corporate and traditional companies like Citco. For the most part, I enjoy working here. The people are nice, the company's culture is showing improvement (big global corporations take time to adapt to the workplace trends), and it's fairly organized. At this stage of my life, I like that this is a place where I can focus on work and not be forced to "take on new challenges" or "grow to new heights" on a daily basis. I'd say it's a workplace suited for those who just want a steady, somewhat boring job where there is not an excessive amount of pressure to grow.
The benefits are also competitive and I like the 5% RRSP matching. The office is nice to go into - there's lots of social activities, snacks and drinks.
Cons
The downsides are the flip side to what I shared above. If you do want to work somewhere that's modern and fast-evolving, this is probably not for you. The technology is a bit dated and policies can be bureaucratic. It is still overall quite a traditional company.
