Dollar General and our SERVE Employee Resource Group would like to celebrate the United States Air Force’s 76th birthday by honoring veteran Leon “Marty” Shodlouski. He served from November 1983 – March 1988 as an Administrative Specialist at Aviano Air Base in Italy and Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, TX. Marty, a Senior Maintenance Mechanic, has been at the Marion, Indiana Dollar General DC for the last 17 years. His time in the military still proves valuable in his daily work, and life, by giving him a greater sense of urgency getting his tasks done on time. It also helps him with more clarity and focus on teamwork, as well as teaching him the value of a team as he partners with other mechanics to keep the building running smoothly.
