      Pros

      Cons

Less focus on Training and Development Delayed hiring process and promotions

Only unbiased review that you should check.(a lot has changed after new ceo old reviews do not count)

      Senior software engineer
      Current employee
      Bengaluru
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Reduced number of third party systems in last 6 months Organized company hierarchy. Sold less performing products. People are good in nature. Promotions till senior software engineer are timely. Hikes from intern to finstarter to associate to software engineer is good. Regular hackathons. Proper process for delivery. Weekend work is less likely for majority. Fair business outcomes. Great domain experts with decades of experience. Great office interior space. Unlimited PTO Expert connect on phone for exercise, fitness ,nutrition, counselling on various topics.

      Cons

Work from home is revoked forever. You need to be strictly in office 2 days a week even if its not required otherwise be ready to be terminated. Company suddenly shifted its idea that work can happen from anywhere to work can happen with forced control.(they call it human touch which no employee other than old people nearing retirement want) Health insurance is useless(cappings and copays, better buy privately) 2 people running cafeteria, so by the time they take your order cook and your turn comes, its already 3 hrs lost, and you should be standing there to remind them every now and then so they dont forget. Therefore, bring your own food or order expensive from outside. Food courts in Bangmane outside office premises is either all junk or super expensive.(dominos, pizza hut etc) Office free drinks and snacks is all high sugar and junk(packeted horlicks, boost, sugary maida biscuits, sodium heavy soup). Better to avoid, most already do. Dual monitor, but guess how many actually works. Standing desk count is zero. Meeting rooms will be booked for entire day by senior executives even if they dont use it. They use their position as power to use meetings room as their private office. You need to roam for 30 minutes to visit rooms physically and fix one. You cant ask for better laptop until you complete 4 years with same laptop and on completion you will be given same configuration same laptop but new. Untill then, software slowness is your problem hardware repairs they will do. You need a laptop bag? Buy yourself. No reimbursements for internet/electricity. No reimbursements for chair, table etc. All positions grade 9 and after are locked. Old people do not get promoted, therefore new people cant enter grade 9. No be prepared to be a individual contributor all your life. People with 20 years of experience are still coding because their is no progression left for them. They get too comfortable to leave until they realise its too much now and switch after decades of loyalty. Promotions and good hikes after senior software engineer is like finding water on Mars. Extra hours/days are not compensated. Only few people(5-10%] take moment to recognize work of others, Too much of process and structure, so free flow of ideas are missing, only 2-3 people will actually share opinions and give ideas in most teams, rest all will not feel comfortable to share ideas. They will just come share their work status and leave. Not because they dont want to, but because they dont feel valued if they speak. Decision making is centralized to few people on what has to be done, no matter what all ideas and priorities you share for the product. Good people after a time stop sharing ideas, because they dont feel valued. Just answer what is asked and do work on time. No gifting culture no matter what festival or occasion it is. Bengaluru office location is at weird spot, so if you use public transport, then you need to walk a lot. No cab pickup and drop by company. No gym in office. No doctor. Hiring managers always in search of cheap labour, so quality of engineers declining due to dilution with new hires.(some are good, but thats less count) Company not expanding to cities like Hyderabad neither buying space at better location and connectivity, neither giving cab service. Price rocketing rental prices nearby office and if you rent far, you are stuck hours in traffic.

      Pros

I enjoy being part of Finastra. I feel like my ideas are valued and I have the freedom to propose new initiatives, as long as I back them up with a solid business plan. The best part is the people: I work with nice and likeable co-workers who make every day enjoyable.

      Cons

Finastra is a dynamic and exciting place to work, but sometimes it can be overwhelming with so many changes and projects happening at the same time.
