Does Grady Health System offer tuition reimbursement?

Pay cuts have been frequent, they have a base rate then additional pay for different units or incentives that make it appear like Grady has a high pay scale. However, those rates have frequently been cut. I have lost $5 an hour since working here, and other bonuses or incentives have been sharply slashed as well. Upper management can be verbally abusive, and they are bold with it as well.

Strong Reputation & Career Growth Working at Grady is viewed as valuable on a resume. Many say “if you can make it at Grady, you can make it anywhere.” There are also paths for specialty certifications, education, and advancement.

High Workload & Intensity Because of high patient acuity, lots of trauma, underserved patients with complex needs, staffing challenges, the pace is often overwhelming. Burnout risk is real. Understaffing / “Skeleton Crew” Situations Frequently, units are short-staffed, meaning the nurse-to-patient ratio can be higher than ideal. Some shifts may feel unsafe or overly taxing.

Diverse and challenging patient population will force you to learn fast and efficiently. Great starting pay for new nurses.

Limited resources and supplies. Extremely challenging patient population that isn’t always grateful for your help.
