The benefits are good and if you get a good store that is run well you can collect good bonuses. The most positive thing about Hy-Vee is that you will work with some truly amazing, hard-working people that will become friends for life,

During my time here women were blatantly paid less for the same work and when I would bring it up during meetings, I would get shunned for talking about people's wages. Fight for your wages and get paid what you are worth. For far too long Hy-Vee has taken advantage of those who work hard. During my time there they even fired people because they made too much even when some of those people have been there for 30+ years. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. The diversity at the top of this company is lacking and promotions are based on who you are related to or who you know and not really based on merit. I would also express that the new CEO Jeremy Gosh is one of the rudest, most arrogant people I've ever come in contact with. Hopefully, he is good at his job because he was one of the worst people to work for. I also watched women be passed up on promotions because they were pregnant and would have to be on leave even though they were the most qualified candidates for the job. I think this company also needs to address the fact the directors at some of these locations have been caught sleeping with their employees. When it is found out the person at the bottom gets punished by either getting transferred or fired yet the director gets no punishment at all. Again truly disgusting.
