What is working from home like at Marks & Spencer?

good pay, friendly people, can work from home 2 days a week, offices are clean, good pension scheme, and its nice working for a successful company

they make you work in store 7 days during xmas, its impossible to get promoted unless someone above you leaves, progression is a problem all over the company, head office expects you to work at 8.30 am, usually don't get a lunch break, other benefits other then sicount (which is small) is pretty non existent

Training at the time wasn't great, but this was partly due to the fact it was covid times

As an organization, they actively look for improvements in all aspects of work. Huge investment and focus on digital improvements

Hybrid working may not be possible since CEO doesn't views WFH policy as positive for Business and struggles to understand the challenges IT and Finance faces on routine basis.

You have to do 7 days at store during the year, 4 of them during Christmas period. And you’re not allowed to work from home during the Christmas period. They don’t listen to the surveys results
