      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Meta still has great pay, perks and benefits and a great work environment in my experience. It may not be as loose with the spending as in previous years with a few less perks but all in all still a great place to work with extremely smart people.

      Cons

The reputation of the company by many people is still pretty negative.

      1

      Great with the right team

      Software engineer
      Current employee
      Seattle, WA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Great work life balance, lots of mentorship and learning, cutting edge work, fast career growth, not too much hierarchy, culture of helping each other and collaboration

      Cons

Lots of empire building, increasingly worse politics and reliability issues, people are laser focused on their promotions and not getting fired which erodes culture of learning and collaboration, every year they cut our pay and benefits, very team dependent. I’m incredibly lucky with my team but majority of teams here are toxic and bad and it’s hard to know how your experience will be. Try to stay in infra, and as deep in the stack as you can. Don’t work directly for MSL it’s an absolute shitshow. Don’t work for AI/ML infra or fb or instagram (any product roles/product infra). They’re the first to get hit by layoffs and they also have horrible leadership that whips people like slaves, lots of busywork and little credit, everyone is cut throat and fending for themselves

great team but not so good company culture

      Production engineer
      Current employee
      Menlo Park, CA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

team is great, a lot of smart people, good pay, good benefits (used to be better)

      Cons

a lot of churns within the company, moves really fast

      It alright

      Former contractor
