New Day provides great training for recent college graduates who have little to no experience in the mortgage industry. On the operations side they offer an Accelerated Underwriting Program that helps you become a VA underwriter in as quick as 18 months. New Day has a young competitive culture. Overtime is expected and you will be asked to occasionally work a Saturday. However, employees make commission on top of base salary, so employees are compensated well for their extra efforts.

Company have a high potential

I'll give -0 rating because I had a very bad experience at this company, especially in one team where the manager had no subject knowledge but still micromanaged everything. I left within just 5 days because the work environment was extremely frustrating. Even team members with years of experience are facing the same issues. The manager focuses only on login timings instead of actual work or team well being. Daily meetings are repetitive, with no real purpose, which adds to the stress. Working under this manager started affecting health and even personal life, causing frustration at home too. This manager never encourages or appreciates the efforts of teammates or team leads. Despite our hard work, he often takes full credit during client interactions, using the knowledge and input of others. This behavior is well known within the team, but no one complains due to fear of retaliation. When someone does raise a concern, no action is taken against the manager instead, the complainer faces consequences. This creates a toxic and demotivating work environment. Many of us have invested heavily in our education and careers with strong support from our families. Unfortunately, working under such leadership affects both our career growth and mental well-being. Recognition and fairness are crucial, and without them, the team’s morale continues to decline. To make things worse, there’s no proper HR team to report these problems, no one to listen or take action.

I would say the best thing about NewDay is how great we are at training new employees, like myself. I started and spent months getting paid to just learn the role and all its nuances. We are really set up for success from the get go. i would also say the culture at the company is great because it creates competition and allows for a lot of career growth early on.

The only con is probably the hours we work but it really doesn't feel very long when you stay busy and work hard.

I've been employed at NewDay USA for almost 2 years. In this time period I was able to learn about the servicing department, being an apprentice to a top 10 Account executive, transfer hot leads to account executives and most importantly gain training from our leaders on how to pass the national SAFE exam to become a mortgage loan officer myself. Not only have I had career growth for myself at such a young age, I have also made friendships for life. Newday is highly competitive but it is also one big family. I highly recommend this job to anyone who is money motivated and culture oriented.
