Brand standards keep changing. Rather than train you on how to do things properly, managers are constantly correcting your mistakes. They don't let you keep tips. There is a lot of plastic trash, and a lot of wasted food that we aren't allowed to donate to food banks. When we express our concerns to management about a potentially unsanitary working environment and desire for better pay and benefits, we get told not to talk about it and then we get fired. People would come to work sick because they were desperate for the money, but it's a food service environment!

Honestly, not a whole lot. Very standard decorator job. Got cake to take home if it was expired or badly decorated.

I was fired for not being Christian the week before Christmas because asking them not to play hymns and gospel over the speakers in boh. Also, was poisoned by forcing food they knew i was allergic too onto my plate, pressured me to eat and complained when i refused, later on in the month the owner then snuck it into the sides for the holiday party. Atrocious behavior and had i any documentation, the whole dam company would have gotten sued. No benefits for most employees, no promotions, owner played favorites.

I went into this job being told by Veronica (the current manager) that the old manager was not good and that she was there to fix it, however I quickly learned that she was a terribly petty and immature person that constantly complained about her own boss and especially her husband and how helpless she made him out to be. Constantly talking about drama with employees and treating everyone like a child and like they don't know how to do their job. Was not given the proper length of training and was later somehow blamed for it myself and claimed I was not responsible enough as a 20 year old women to be a shift lead after she claimed she would make that work for me. She does not care about your emotional and financial well-being, she knew I worked 2 jobs and was stressed but I always showed up unless sick and felt I was somehow disrespecting her when she was trying to tell Me how to do my job and she made constant backhanded comments. She refused to give me my holiday bonus pay which everyone there was confused and shocked about and I had to speak to her boss which then gave me a little less than half of what I signed on. There was no communication at any point in time from her. Hardly in the bakery. Veronica will not be efficient in keeping contact and will go days without responding to employee messages. She did not put me on the schedule for 2 weeks and claimed it was because she "forgot" and was like "omg so sorry girl let me fix that" and never did. She is the most immature and unprofessional manager I have ever met and have no idea how she managed to get where she is now. And she loves saying "that won't fly in culinary school" like ma'am, this is a bakery that you don't even do the work in. She does not give anyone enough respect to earn it herself. When I asked via text why she was refusing me my bonus pay she said "have a goodnite girl." And refused to message me further so I had to go to HR. I originally loved working here and I wouldn't mind working here again but only at either a different location or under different management. Veronica put me in the most stressful position that I've ever been in and screwed me over so badly that it was all I could think about for days on end and couldn't sleep, my anxiety had never been more rampant than in the situation she put me in. Low pay for busy holidays, There's only ever 2 frosters working the weekend, no sitting, repetitive hand movements and constant standing. There's also been a mold issue in the back for years and before I left she was claiming that as it slows down she was gonna make everyone help clean the bakery before it got checked for a rating. She passes out alcohol to employees (your pick on a pro on con)

Absolutely no benefits … never had a job that didn’t offer benefits not even for managers or full time people Messy environment … the owner hires a lot of family members and they lack work ethic… always have attitudes and they don’t do anything… you could be short staffed and swamped with tickets and they act like they’ll help you but they actually make it worse The owner is very petty if you quit she won’t pay you your last paycheck or if you try to put in your 2 weeks she’ll just let you go on the spot Turn over rate is high… nobody lasted for more than a year

Short training period, No accountability with management, always running out of product to do your job, will write you up for the smallest things, no verbal warnings, no communication from management, if anything goes wrong or short staffed, expect no help. No appreciation for what you do for them, no grace from management during life events (tardy by 5 minutes from traffic, taking care of sick family members) They expect you to go above and beyond but you get nothing in return. Upper Management makes you feel lesser/nothing. ALWAYS short staffed. Especially during holidays. No benefits, only manager gets full time benefits. If you are a full time employee, you do not get any benefits. No overtime, even if you do work overtime. No mutual respect from management. Management has very high expectations that are not fair/impossible to complete on your own. Will treat you like you don't know how to do your job
