What is the hiring process like at PwC?

Toxic Culture and Zero Respect for Contractors – Beware

      Test engineer
      Former contractor

      Business Outlook

      Pros

None that I can think of

      Cons

I worked at PwC as a contractor through TCS, and it was a deeply disappointing and stressful experience. The culture at PwC is extremely toxic, especially toward contractors. Many of the managers there act as if they’re untouchable gods, showing little to no humility or respect. If you're not a direct PwC employee, you’re treated like you're disposable. I was removed from a project simply because the test lead—who had a clear bias—didn't like me. There was no discussion, no feedback, no due process. Just gone. The interview process was unnecessarily grueling and dehumanizing, only to be followed by a work culture that thrives on favoritism and power trips. If you value your mental health, stability, and self-respect, avoid this company. Working here felt like walking on eggshells every single day, and it’s the kind of environment that can push anyone toward anxiety or burnout. There are far better companies out there that recognize talent and treat people with dignity.

      Pros

No pros, had a really bad experience here.

      Cons

Toxic work culture. No clarity with hiring process, waited almost a year to get offer letter. Their hiring process is very unclear, cleared interviews, hrs took personal information and vanished for 3 months, was asked to give a test (make a presentation) after 3 months which was actually used for a client presentation. Again was ghosted by HR and hiring team for 3 more months - got offer letter in December and have interviews in May. No process clarity, they want you to be available 24*7 for work, forced to work on weekends, festivals and holidays. Seniors and clients use foul language. Don't give the right designation. Good rating given only when you do not say no for work even at midnight. Too many projects but no manpower and expertise to handle those. HR department is useless, you never know where to find them.
