What is paid time off like at Sedgwick?
Pros
Flexible schedule, starts at 21 days of PTO a year, work from home, decent salary. I have never been asked to work more than 40 hours and am not micromanaged because I do my job. Overall it's a great place to work! Other departments, I've heard otherwise, however...
Cons
They have been outsourcing other positions, creating a trickle down problem that affects everyone.
Advice to Management
Stop outsourcing our jobs. It doesn't work.

Does Sedgwick offer family leave?
Pros
PTO given upfront. It is easy to get needed time off. Benefits are affordable. Starting pay is ok.
Cons
The training they give is very unorganized and unstructured. I feel like I haven't learned anything to do my job successfully and have mentioned this to upper management. I still haven't been explained in detail what my job is. They have no real training team and no real training process. Just employees that half way know how to do the job training us that probably don't want to do it. It is surprising because when dealing with claims alot of things we do are pay impacting so one wrong or missed step and the clients don't get paid. The meetings we have are very bland. It doesn't feel like a real team. Every seems unhappy or just there. There is no real team building. I do not plan on staying here long term. The client that I service offers a very generous Maternity Leave plan for their employees, they are paid 100% of their salary while on leave. Sedgwick only gives 6 weeks off to their employees and pay less than 80% of your salary. So if you are planning on having children keep that in mind. I also feel like there isn't much diversity or inclusion. No culture. All upper management look the same.

Does Sedgwick have a pension plan?
Pros
Great colleagues. Most supervisors know what they are doing but upper management is only concerned about numbers which affect their bonuses.
Cons
For such a large company, benefits are terrible. No pension. No work/life balance. Most examiners are overworked and definitely underpaid.
Advice to Management
Treat everyone the same. Stand up for your team.
No pension.
