What is the salary like at SharkNinja?

      SharkNinja reviews

      Poor leadership harms young talent

      Category analyst
      Former employee
      Needham Heights, MA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good salary, good benefits, easy to gain a lot of experience both in your field and the small appliances industry overall, lots of opportunities for growth

      Cons

Kindness to coworkers definitely takes a backseat here, especially with regards to how management treats mid-level managers and how mid-level managers are then pressured to treat junior employees poorly. If you can get a good manager who resists the toxicity at the top then it’s great but they can really only shield you so much. This is the kind of company where executives find it completely acceptable to use vulgar language when speaking to one another and to employees.

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good sense of community, pay is slightly above average, team members are great. These factors heavily depend on which team your are on though.

      Cons

Lots of work all the time all day every day.

      Not bad at all

      Operations coordinator
      Current employee

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Great pay and light work schedule

      Cons

Onsite cubicles looks like a 80`s TV show.

Smell like a startup, feels like a startup, but solid background

      Technical project manager ii
      Current employee
      London, England
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good pay, reward and bonus system with discount on E-shop and incredible christmas private sale. Good culture, hard work is rewarded, work life balance is respected trustworthy management. Budgets are flexible as long as you can justify it, as opposed to some startups than doesnt have backbones.

      Cons

Fast paced, planning is everything, can be stressful Worklife balance can be hard to maintain as working both with US and Asia teams. No real "team vibe" for the technical project managers team, say hello in morning, goodbye in the evening. Do your job, get out.

      Stay away

      Product development
      Former employee
      Needham, MA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good pay, interesting work, opportunity for free products

      Cons

Very toxic workplace environment. Managers have extremely unrealistic expectations for speed that work is done. Can never unplug while on PTO. Mixed messages about amount of work that needs to get done while encouraging using time off, not working after hours, etc. Extremely meeting heavy culture (often in meetings 6+ hours a day) and tendency to overextend employees (for example, responsible for 10+ products simultaneously). People do not stay long here. It's not uncommon to see stints of less than a year, and for good reason. I am 100% confident anyone can find a better place to work. Don't be drawn in by the salary or "cool" place to work. There is nothing cool about working at SharkNinja. It's also crazy how much plastic waste they generate in the product development process. If you at all care about the environment, it won't be a fun place for you to work.

      Pros

      Good pay and decent benefits

      Cons

Toxic culture on the sales team and extremely high turnover - people dropping like flies due to micromanagment and lack of work life balance. Your manager/peers will not hesitate to throw you under the bus for a chance to get ahead.
