Pros

- Great flexibility and option to work full-time remotely - Excellent IT leadership & management (seriously wonderful IT managers) - Exciting and enjoyable work with lots of creative freedom - No micromanaging - Potential for future growth at SkillPath as the company has begun to shift more towards digital learning - Decent benefits

Cons

- Poor compensation well below market average - Dishonest exec team that undervalues employees and doesn't communicate with them - Retention issues (especially in IT) - Poor company culture and no investment whatsoever in team outings or all-hands events - Poor 403(b) investment options Be very weary of project-related incentives...

Advice to Management

Invest in the morale and culture of your organization and fix compensation issues. Employees are undervalued, underpayed, and rarely communicated with. Better compensation and culture are what is missing at SkillPath. There is good talent there but no one wants to stick around somewhere where they are underpayed and undervalued, especially not in IT where the market is red hot. Be honesty and communicate more especially about incentives.

Pros

There was air conditioning in the building.

Cons

Oh boy. Where to begin. Dated products. Incredibly high rate of turnover because morale is so low. Current leadership staged a coup at the beginning of Covid to oust the entire C-Suite and a large portion of the Skillpath workforce. They essentially leveraged Covid to drive out 3/4 of the organization for their benefit. There is definitely a high level of nepotism in the organization with new leadership -- if you were in leadership's good graces pre-Covid, you likely have a high-ranking position in the organization now, whether you are qualified or not.

Advice to Management

I would advise that you all take some of the classes that you all offer and actually take the teachings to heart -- specifically the classes related to emotional intelligence, managing toxic work environments, etc. You all need some serious help in these areas.
