What is the hiring process like at Spirit Halloween?

The hiring process was very quick and straight forward. Most days responsibilities included simply answering customer questions and maintaining stock on the sales floor.

Your shifts are usually short and you have to rely on picking up shifts to get more hours. Breaks are 10 minutes only and you only get one for every 2 hours. However, a 30 minute lunch is given to those that work a minimum of 6 hours. Your breaks, lunch and clocking out at the end of your shift will usually not be done in a timely manner depending on the amount of customers and who's going to cover you.

The atmosphere is great if you love Halloween and spooky things. And sometimes your co-workers are amazing.

The company is not worker friendly. They do not respond to sensitive workplace problems with any kind of quickness. As well as the hiring process is a craps shoot.

not much training in my experience. LOTS of boxes. not enough space on the floor for items to be stocked.

For the seasonal job it was and my availability, this was a great experience as we got discounts for the halloween items!

It gets increasingly busy as you get closer to halloween, therefore, you will find yourself working a lot more that leaves the pay for desire.

Some pros are that it was good pay, I made $18.50hr, plus $3.00 on top of that during build and teardown of the store(s). Another pro was it's a simple job, it's mostly just sales associate with a few more responsibilities. I was also trained on the job, which was really nice. Also you get 30% off discount.

Favoritism was huge at my location. Those employees got longer breaks, more hours, did less, and overall just treated more highly than other associates. In upper management eyes, they could do no wrong.
