      Pros

The interviewers were very interested to know about me, as they were already confident in my experience

      Cons

The process was rigorous, as expected, but the administrative process was drawn out and took longer than promised

      Weak leadership in some departments

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

opportunities for varied and interesting projects. lots of training available. great place for early career development and growth

      Cons

Weak senior leadership in some areas. Has led to big problems in some teams as known issues with certain managers are not dealt with promptly and effectively. The year end appraisal process causes unhealthy competition and can demotivate people who are doing a good job as they can be forced into a 'needs focus' category. Since merger with Credit Suisse it seems much more difficult to get promoted

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - Many international teams, which broadens the horizon - Depending on the team, the people are nice, talented and motivated (or not)

      Cons

      - If you don’t work in wealth management or similar but rather IT, data jobs, risk etc., don’t jojn. Your salary will stagnate, promotions are scarce and there is no budget. - Too much political games that have net-negative impact on the employee motivation and actual output - Too much bureaucracy, they are adding new processes all the time to pretend like they are adding value - A good team will be good, a bad will be bad, and you aren’t able to change anything at all about unfair treatment / racism / whatever from your line manager short of switching teams - Be careful, employee to line manager feedback is not really anonymous, especially in small teams, the line manager will find out and there is nothing that HR will do against retaliation - very old-fashioned and hierarchical, top-down - many “dinosaurs” who have worked here since the 80ies and are keeping they comfortable warm places but are difficult to work with - Tasks are boring from a data science perspective, but at least they are using cloud and some newer technologues - Due to integration with CS, there will be even less money for employees and less opportunities for promotions for a while, but at least this is not the company’s fault
