What are perks and other benefits like at Winn-Dixie?

Great company to work for. They allow IT to work remotely or hybrid. Some IT jobs are required to be in the office but most are not. The pay is on par with other companies and the benefits are also comparable to other companies. The leadership is good, they have programs to help new employees get onboard quickly.

The IT office and datacenter are on the westside of Jacksvonville FL which is not the best place to be. The Prominence office is very nice and modern. If you are remote most of the time then this isn't a big issue, but we do have monthly or quarterly on site meetings.

The company offers great benefits and you always have room for growth and work/life balance. Employees are very friendly.

Management could be better. Overall I never had a bad experience.

In 1998 when I started it was a great place to work, I left in 2004 because it faced bankruptcy, cutting wages, positions, hours for low level management and associates only.

Poor working conditions, unstable management, recorded hours worked did not match hours stated on paycheck, hours cut and loss of benefits,

There are few employees which mean you will get hours if your a good worker. The benefits are almost as good as Publix but not quite there yet since there is profit sharing. The environment inside the building is very friendly and almost family like.

The cons is the fact that there are few employees means that you have to do the work for 2 or 3 people without overtime. They don't care when there's people missing all they care about is that you dont go over 40. SO if you do a great job you get in trouble because your over your hours so then you say well ill just do a mediocre job but then you get in trouble for that too so what the do they want. Do they want a job well done or not go over hours its impossible to do both. The in store managers were great but i really felt that the downside of the company came from above store level it really felt like they were completely out of touch with how much work we had to do. another issue is that it felt like the Disctrict managers and maybe even those above him had too much control on what goes on inside the stores almost nothing was up to the in store personal we had to follow there arbitrary rules even if they didn't make any sense
