The company has a flexible work-life policy. There are many locations, so shifting to a store closer to home may be an option.

The company was purchased by Al Di, and much remains unknown about what will happen to many Winn-Dixie locations. This uncertainty has both customers and employees nervous about a store continuing to be a Winn-Dixie, possibly shifting to an Al Di or being shut down.
