For me, as a former United Cabs Driver (Port Alberni, BC,) it was easy to get hired by AC Taxi in 2022. By decent Owner/ Operator Doug Brix.
....I continued thru the present time until I Encountered, subsequently... And caution anyone who encounters Owner/Operator Nav Kaushal. My best advice to any prospective Driver is do NOT work for this abusive employer. Owner/Operator. WARNING to all Drivers. AVOID NAV ! This man had a constant attempt is to deliberately cheat you out of Stat Pay. And other forms of pay for Wheelchair Accessible Taxi,-Van Driver BONUS. And give you inadequate tax deductions from paychecks such that on your annual T-4, you will owe as compared to get a refund from the CRA. I don't know how he did this - between him and his complicit crooked accountant.
Neither got my consent to how much deduction to withhold. Thus, my pending Complaint with BC Labour Relation stands.
Simply said, this guy Nav wants to steal your hard-earned Driver's pay. And has probably done so to others, for years. All Drivers who formerly worked for this loudmouth argumentative East-Indian Immigrant man, have a horror story to tell.
This Taxi company is governed by greed of an exclusive group of men who who speak a foreign language other than Canada's 2 official languages and do NOT compensate Taxi Drivers for their time.
I applied online. I interviewed at AC Taxi (Nanaimo, BC) in Sep 2016
