      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AECOM (Denver, CO) in Apr 2022

      Interview

I applied online. Was reached out to by HR to schedule a Teams interview. Was also asked to fill out a candidate profile before my interview to get to know me prior. Had the first interview and it lasted for a full hour. Was invited for an in person interview in their office, which lasted a little over an hour.

      Interview

The interview process was much more calm and friendly than I was used too. Step one was an email from a recruiter asking for additional details and minimum salary. After that, we set up a call with the hiring manager, which was about 30 minutes or so - she was super friendly, down to earth, and straightforward. Following, I had a WebX interview with the director of the product group I was going into, Design & Consulting Services; he was also friendly, and gave me a detailed breakdown of AECOM, its history, his experiences, and the office lifestyle itself. Lastly, I went into the office to meet some of the other team members in the schedule group. Again, much more friendly that I was used too (had been working in a tough environment at a big aerospace company in the area). They gave me their individual perspectives, we talked about strengths of the companies, weaknesses, and it gave me a feel for the company - something I'm not used too, interviews often give the best case scenario, which is often uncommon at a company. Overall, everyone was very communicative, I was equally able to email the hiring manger with questions and the recruiter, it was like I was dealing with coworkers more than interviewers. The day after the in person, I followed up with the hiring manager, who was traveling during the in person interview, and she let me know I got the job. About a week or so later, I got the actual offer.
