First contacted via phonecall by recruiter who invited me at a Teams (online) interview within a week - short call, just to verify my identity and confirm I am still interested in the role.
The Teams interview had a reserved timeslot (1 hr) and was run by the Head of Dpt and a fellow Manager with whom the selected person would share responsibilities and move around work.
They were friendly, made me feel comfortable. However the interview lacked a technical perspective that I really find invaluable. It was a STAR format interview, without any technical knowledge exposed nor asked, even though they presented the role as of high responsibility being a line manager for 6-10 people.
The next phase would include an on site interview and meeting the higher management.
I was informed of my rejection via phone call from the Head of Dpt, which I do appreciate, about 20 days later.
