Both conversations were professional, kind, and gave me space to speak openly about my experience. Although I wasn’t selected in the end, they shared thoughtful feedback and mentioned staying in touch for freelance or more hybrid roles, which I appreciated. If you're interviewing for a similar role, I’d suggest being clear about how you manage creative workflows and timelines, and how you work across teams. I felt heard and respected throughout — which isn’t always a given in this industry.
