AMGA interview questions

I applied through a job board. A month later I received an interview request. I emailed back with my availabilities but did not hear back. I reached out to the person who contacted me on a job board. It turns out my email went to the spam folder. Nevertheless, I spoke with this person who was really nice during the interview. Nothing too difficult, mainly questions from my resume. However, the person later reached out to me saying that the HR said they are not hiring from the State where I am in, which is a kind of speechless reason for a rejection.
