The first round was an interview with the higher management and the second one was a presentation to the whole team, with a subject selected by the company and related to the open position
I applied online. I interviewed at AMIRES in Feb 2024
Interview
First round: 30 minute discussion with the management. They presented the company and the job position in more detail than in the job description, asked me questions mostly related to my experience and how it could match the job.
Pros: quite friendly, did not make it hard or uncomfortable for the candidate
Cons: they were slightly late to the call, they said that at the end I would have time to ask them some questions (I had plenty), but after asking me all the questions they said they had to jump to a different call and ended the interview without offering me to ask any questions. That did not look good to me
2nd round: the whole staff was present, I had to prepare a presentation on Good practices for communications in EU-funded projects. It was actually a very interesting experience, I presented for around 20 minutes, then for another 20-25 minutes various members of the staff asked me questions on the presentation, my background, my skills, and even stuff not strictly related to work such as how I like to interact with colleagues etc. No cons in the 2nd round, very useful experience
