Two times interview got rescheduled and after that HR told the position is already allotted to other guy. Yaa the HR was a bit kind told that if i find any position I can directly forward him resume regarding that position instead of applying online.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ASML (Wilton, CT) in Apr 2018
Interview
A recruiter contacted me through LinkedIn and introduced me to the company. It sounded exciting so I agreed to move forward in the next steps. Got into interview with the hiring manager. He was a rude and yelling all the time in the phone. Not the best impression of a person that I would like to work with. I didn't feel like I would like to work with the hiring manager.
Then I got a message from the recruiter to go for the next round of in-person interviews. I agreed. When I got there it was hard to find parking as stated in the company reviews. I found one by luck. The parking lot is very small.
I got inside for the interview. It was a mess. The interviewers were in a mess. They didn't know whom they were talking to. They confused me with someone else. They didn't know their proper schedule. I didn't get to speak with any of the high up executive because he was double booked. It was a very confusing process without proper planning!
The place seems small. The cubes seem small. They didn't seem to have enough space to put your things and to work comfortably. I have the impression that the business unit located at Wilton CT is not for design. I got the hint that most design were done in California or somewhere else. The business unit was more for support or to conduct some testing...
I finally got a chance to speak with my hiring manager. He was rude to begin with. He was unwelcoming as a person. And he was yelling all the time. His sitting posture was rude. If you were to represent a company then sit properly as if you are to conduct a business NOT to put your feet on the desk and lean back on the chair. In addition, he told me he worked in the military before. I have no idea how can a person who worked in a military get to become a boss. He told me most of his projects got cancelled or delayed and that nothing got done. I guess he became the manager by being a good bootlicker, because of his yelling attitude, or because he was good at lying. One way or another, I didn't want to work for him nor the company. I got a really bad impression of the hiring manager and the place.
Good luck if you end up with this hiring manager. I looked at his LinkedIn bio and he didn't seem a big deal, his career profile was mediocre. I guess the other reviews are true stating that old people berate talented millennial and that they would put any obstacles to stay in power. Must be really political to be working at this place!
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ASML (Eindhoven) in Sep 2017
Interview
Initial interview Then Detailed technical and HR interview. It was long process and it seemed like there is very little communication between their HR department and Techncial recruitment managers responsible for the position.
